Soteria Network Technologies is looking for bright, talented Adobe Flash/ActionScript software developer to join its product research and development team. Candidates would have an immediate impact as a member of a small, energetic team focused on creating innovative solutions to complex problems. Responsibilities would include designing and developing an early-stage information visualization application to complement the current family of Soteria data network analysis products.
Programmers at Soteria are involved in many aspects of product development, from performance-critical data processing to user interface design and development, and are given the freedom to focus on areas where they are most interested. Soteria Network Technologies is a small technology startup based in Baltimore, MD (currently in the Emerging Technologies Center in Canton). Our focus is building data network-related applications that are not only easy to use but are also easy to understand for network novices. Soteria’s products improve data quality and navigation through information fusion, visualization, and advanced analytics.
Required skills:
- Solid understanding of fundamental algorithms, computer architecture, and algorithmic complexity
- Experience in user interface design with Flash/ActionScript 3.0
- Knowledge of graph theory and demonstrated ability to recognize and solve complex graph problems
- Ability and desire to learn new programming techniques, ideas, and languages
- Basic understanding of data networking technologies
- Good communication and coordination skills
- BS in Computer Science or relevant experience
- A good sense of humor
- Must be a US citizen

- In-depth knowledge of networking technologies and routing protocols
- Experience in building interfaces to web-based APIs
- Strong design skills
